Quarterly Service Projects
Our goal is to complete at least one community service project each quarter. We have led drum circles at Relay for Life, caroled at a homeless shelter, made gingerbread houses at an emergency shelter, and more. We gladly accept members of the public to help at these events. Do you have an event that you fits within our mission? Contact Amy Brownell, MMT, MT-BC at firstname.lastname@example.org, Subject: Service Project.
Pay As You Are Able
Our Pay As You Are Able program is an initiative to bring the creative arts to communities and our neighbors who cannot afford healthcare services. This program allows participants to pay $0 up to the full cost of the session. 100% of proceeds received go back into the financial assistance fund to help continue this program. Through this program, we have been able to offer social skills groups for children with Autism, private music therapy for single-parent households, community music groups for children with developmental disabilities, proper transitional planning for teens with mental health disorders, and more. Our practicum students, job shadow interns, field study students, and our clinical staff play integral parts in this program. Visit our Facebook page regularly to learn when applications are open for this program.
Internship and Student Programs
At Infinity, we believe that we are leaders in healthcare and we take our dedication to the next generation of potential clinician seriously. We are currently affiliated with Temple University, Montclair State University, and Berklee College of Music for our Practicum Student Program (September-May) and our University Affiliated Internship (September-April). We are currently building other affiliations. Each summer (May-August), we run our Job Shadow Internship for high school students, college students, and new professionals considering a career in music therapy. Each summer we also run our Field Study Student program for music therapy students. During the year, we also frequently complete interviews for students considering a career in music therapy.
